I have been connected to art for over 70 years. My journey began in the early 1960s during my school days, where my interest in handwriting slowly grew into a lifelong practice.

Over the years, I have explored and mastered many writing styles and fonts, treating handwriting as a form of art. During my college years (1970–1973), I created hand-drawn greeting cards using ink pens, sketch pens, and watercolors. In the 1980s, I began working with ball pen art, further refining my attention to detail and discipline.

With more than 40 years of experience, I have trained thousands of students and conducted workshops and seminars for teachers and parents. My work includes cursive writing, calligraphy, freehand art, spoken English, phonics, accent training, shorthand, content writing, and translation.

I have been honored with international recognition, including a felicitation in London, and have worked with institutions such as the China Jeeyar Trust. I continue to share my knowledge and passion, believing that every letter has character and every stroke tells a story.

With over 40 years of experience in communication and skill development, A. Y. S. Bose offers personalized training and creative services for students, professionals, and institutions.

The Art of the Ball Pen

Ball pen art is one of the most demanding artistic mediums — every stroke is permanent, allowing no room for correction. It demands unwavering focus, patience, and long hours of uninterrupted concentration, making each artwork a true test of discipline and skill.

Embracing this challenge, I began drawing with a ball pen in 1980 as a bold artistic innovation, guided entirely by my freehand technique. The journey was intense and transformative — so much so that it even tested my eyesight, yet my passion never wavered. I continued creating with renewed determination, using spectacles, and pushing the boundaries of what ball pen art could achieve.

My works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions and have earned certified recognition, awards, and prizes. The pieces available in this collection were created 25 to 45 years ago — a testament to their endurance, detail, and timeless quality.
